As the state capital of California, Sacramento continues to emerge as a thriving place for food, art, and adventure lovers. Considered to be one of the trendiest cities in the US, Sacramento also has nice weather year-round.

So, whether you want to spend some quality time with your kids or want to explore the city on your own, Sacramento has plenty to offer. To that end, we have compiled a list of most awaited upcoming events in the city in October.

Audio Sunset Festival

Date: Saturday – Sunday, October 5 – 6, 2019

Time: 1:00 pm (Saturday) – 2:00 am (Sunday)

Location: Sacramento, CA (exact location yet to be finalized)

Admission: $40 – $65 entry fee

National Entity is hosting the second Audio Sunset Festival in October 2019, thanks to the popular demand. You have to be 16+ to attend this musical themed adventure that’s expected to last over 12 hours.

There will a bubble/foam pit so feel free to let your inner water-baby out, just don’t forget to bring your swimwear. For all the nerds out there, this festival will also have several exciting interactive games.

There will also be a lot of popular food and drink vendors, but if you buy the VIP tickets, you won’t have to pay for any meal! Visit here for tickets and more information.

Día de Los Muertos Fiesta 2019

Date: Friday, October 11, 2019

Time: 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Location: California Museum, Archives Plaza, 1020 O Street, Sacramento, CA

Admission: $5 – $20 entry fee

Live performances by Aztec dancers, costume and face-painting contests, and lip-smacking food and drinks, need we say more? California Museum is hosting the annual Day of the Dead or Día de Los Muertos Fiesta, which will be marked by the opening of new art exhibit The Art Of Souls.

I Love Sugar Skull Workshops

Date: Saturday, October 12, 2019

Time: 11:00 am – 4:30 pm

Location: California Museum, 1020 O Street, Sacramento, CA

Admission: $15 entry fee

If you’ve been looking forward to celebrating the Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival, you’d love this workshop! California Museum is hosting a gourmet cooking class to teach how you can make stunning sugar skulls at home. The classes will be taught by chef extraordinaire Rob-O who will teach you how to create edible art from sugar and icing.

The admission fee includes materials as well so you won’t need to bring anything with you, except loads of enthusiasm! Visit here for more information.

Sacramento’s Vegan Food Festival

Date: Saturday, October 19, 2019

Time: 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Location: Cesar Chavez Plaza, 910 Street, Sacramento, CA

Admission: $10 – $15 entry fee

Veganism has taken the world by storm and Sacramento has embraced the trend as well. If you are one of those people who think no meat = no fun, get ready to eat crow (the vegan kind).

The festival will serve delectable delicacies made from 100% plant-based foods. From vegan tacos to vegan hamburgers, and dozens of great drink options, you’ll find a variety of healthy food alternatives here. There will be live music to accompany the food, and several art & craft vendors are scheduled to set up stalls as well. Visit here for tickets.
