Cal Expo’s Fright Planet
Fright Planet is a haunted theme park event being held at Cal Expo. Prepare to be scared silly at the haunted house. Enjoy the rides and lots of good eats at this event. All attendees are encouraged to wear their creative costumes for a night of Halloween-themed fun.

Admission: Single Night admission for classic four is $20, unlimited is $40 and VIP is $50. A season pass for the event is $100. Tickets and additional information may be found on the Cal Expo website (above).
Sacramento Spooky Halloween River Cruise
The Sacramento Spooky Halloween River Cruise is an hour-long cruise on the Sacramento River. The cruise includes scenic views of the Sacramento River and Halloween activities for children. The cruise departs from the L Street Dock.
When: The first cruise boards at 2:45pm and starts from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The second cruise boards at 5:15 pm and starts from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
Admission: $17.91, tickets are not available for online purchase at this time.

Hope for Hearing Halloween Run
The Hope for Hearing Halloween Run is an organized fundraiser that benefits children with hearing difficulty and mental health services for families in need.
When: Saturday, October 29, 2016
Where: William Land Park – 3000 Land Park Drive, Sacramento, CA 95822
Admission: Regular Registration Admission (August 1 to October 25, 2016) for children ages 12 and under are free for 1K run, ages 13 to 17 are $16 and adults are $37. Same-day admission prices are free for children ages 12 and under, ages 13 to 17 are $20 and adults are $45. You may register online.
Shannon McCabe’s Vampire Ball
The Vampire Ball is a Halloween event that benefits the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Northern California and the UC Davis Children’s Hospital. The producer of the Vampire Ball event is Shannon McCabe, who loves to host themed parties. A majority of event attendees dress up as vampires, however, attendees are encouraged to dress up and wear creative costumes. The Sacramento Spirit Halloween Superstores are also partnering up for the children’s hospitals fundraiser by selling purple pumpkins at the registers for $1.
