What Types of Injuries?
The crash caused five people to go to the hospital, three of which were children. The driver of the bus along with the bus driver’s aid were evaluated at a local hospital for minor injuries. Who Caused the Accident?
The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating into the accident. Officials are looking into who caused the accident and who ran the red light. CHP suspects that the motorist in the Kia may have ran the red light and caused the accident. Both the Kia and the bus were traveling 35 mph. Increase in Bus Accidents Raises Concern
Throughout the past few months, there has been a significant increase in bus accidents. Although bus accidents are less common than automobile accidents, they can be very serious in nature and may cause devastating injuries. Motorists traveling on the roadway should take extra precaution while driving in the vicinity of buses, especially those carrying young students.
