North Highlands Hit-and-Run on Auburn Boulevard Off-Ramp
A North Highlands hit-and-run involving three vehicles may have included a semi-truck that left injured people at the scene on September 28. The crash happened just after 4:00 p.m. along the Cap City Freeway on the Auburn Boulevard off-ramp. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the driver who fled the scene might have been in a tractor-trailer.
Injuries Reported in North Highlands Hit-and-Run
The other two vehicles, a Ford Expedition and a Toyota Prius, remained at the scene. However, it was unknown at the time of this report whether they were drivable. The Ford was found by authorities in the center divider, while the Toyota was along the right-hand side, so passing traffic wasn’t blocked. Injuries occurred in the accident, but no other information was provided. A determination of the cause of the crash is underway by CHP traffic collision investigators.
Injury Lawyers Investigate Fleeing Driver Crashes
It is important for the lawyer to examine all available evidence following a North Highlands hit-and-run accident. Traffic camera footage must be reviewed, witnesses must be contacted, and physical evidence left behind at the crash scene must be analyzed. To determine whether the driver violated any traffic laws or was negligent, the lawyer must also review relevant laws, regulations and policies.
After a hit-and-run accident, the injured party may be able to seek legal action against the fleeing driver with the help of an injury lawyer. The accident attorney can evaluate all the available evidence and find out if any other drivers were involved in the crash or liable for it. Medical bills, lost wages, and other accident-related damages may be recovered by the injured person if that is the case.
Calling an Injury Lawyer
When injured in a North Highlands hit-and-run, it is extremely important to seek legal counsel as soon as possible. An experienced injury lawyer can advise them on their legal options, protect their rights, and guide them through the complicated process of filing a claim or lawsuit against the liable parties. The sooner an injured party takes action, the greater their chance of obtaining fair compensation.
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Insurance Can Help
Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage can protect drivers and passengers when a hit-and-run driver causes accident injuries. When the fleeing driver isn’t found or is located but is uninsured or underinsured, this type of insurance pays for medical bills, lost wages, vehicle repairs and other expenses. Injured parties in these types of accidents may have trouble recovering the costs associated with their injuries if they lack this coverage.
It may be possible for an injured party to access a family member’s policy if they don’t have uninsured/underinsured coverage. By using it, the family member won’t see a change in their rate.
