Fresno Community Events – September 2019

No matter what your daily schedule may look like, it’s not hard to agree that there’s something about summer days that make them feel better from the rest. If you are in Fresno and happen to be searching for ways to brighten your days, then you’re in luck. I have handpicked some upcoming local events that are diverse and fun-filled, guaranteeing that everyone can find something to look forward to.

Saturdays have never been sweeter! The Hashtag is proud to be hosting Brittany Stevens, owner of Pretty Good Cookie Co., who has generously offered to share her time and wisdom with everyone that has a sweet tooth. Brittany Stevens will be there to help teach participants how to decorate a cookie, using an “In the Garden” theme to guide her instruction. This class is meant for beginners, so don’t let your experience level prevent you from coming! Basic techniques will be shown using various types of royal icing. Cookies can be taken home, along with a complimentary scribe tool that you can use to showcase your new talent at home.

This is not the first time we have seen collaborative efforts from the merchants at Fig Garden Village and Habitat for Humanity of Fresno County, but it might the best one yet! This year’s annual Fig Garden Village Wine Walk & Craft Brew Tasting has so much to offer, it would be fun to attend for just about anyone. Craft brews and wine samples sourced from California will be paired with food from restaurants at the village. If great food and drinks aren’t appealing on its own, you will also have the chance to take advantage of many amazing sales happening at the shopping center.
