CHP traffic officers were notified of a two-vehicle collision in the area of East Jensen Avenue and South McCall Avenue in Fresno. The incident involved a Chevrolet Impala and a Chevrolet pickup truck, officials said. The Impala allegedly entered the oncoming traffic lane without its headlights on and crashed head-on into the pickup truck.
The driver was the sole occupant of the Impala at the time of the car wreck. The pickup truck had three occupants, including an infant. One of the three occupants in the pickup truck reported moderate to serious injuries, and the Impala driver had severe injuries. The infant was transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure, officials said. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
