The California Highway Patrol reported that three parties were injured in a single-vehicle collision near Oakdale on January 7, 2023. The solo car crash occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m. on Highway 108-120 in the vicinity of Lancaster Road, according to officials.

CHP traffic officers indicated in a preliminary release that a 2000 Audi was headed westbound on Highway 108-120. The vehicle allegedly lost control on the wet roadway and drifted off the left side of the highway. The Audi allegedly overturned and ejected the motorist from the car, authorities said.
There were three male occupants in the Audi at the time of the single-vehicle collision, all identified as Sonora residents. The two passengers, ages 19 and 27, sustained injuries described as minor. Additional information on the solo car crash was not immediately available.
The driver was treated for serious injuries at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, according to officials. Sadly, they succumbed to their injuries. Officials recently identified the deceased as Eric James Wilson, 23, of Sonora.
