Stockton Aggressive Driving Collision

The following accident shows how a feud between two parties can escalate. In this case, the involved parties continued their conflict as they drove the local streets, resulting in a collision. Even so, the victims deserve fair compensation after an injury-accident.

What Happened?

On March 3, 2016, two parties became involved in a conflict for an unknown reason. An individual later sustained bullet wounds as the feuding parties took their argument over to southbound Interstate 5, where their vehicles eventually collided with each other. Another person also suffered injuries in the accident.

What Caused the Accident?

The Stockton Police Department responded to a shooting during the early afternoon involving an SUV and a car. Authorities indicated that the shooting occurred in the middle of the day, but fortunately, no one else was hurt as the incident happened in a busy neighborhood.

At the scene, authorities observed a black Cadillac Escalade with driver’s side damage, a blown-out tire, and blood. The vehicle did not have license plates but child car seats in the back, although no children were present. A little way up the interstate, authorities found the Audi. They also found a nail gun at the accident site.

A male occupant of the SUV was taken to a medical facility due to the inflicted gunshot wound. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. A female occupant of the SUV was also treated and released from the hospital. Authorities later questioned her about the incident, but her involvement was not apparent.

Authorities detained and questioned a third person at a convenience store near the site. They also located a gun there. No one was arrested in the incident.

Further Legal Considerations

After an auto accident from an altercation between two individuals, one party might file a lawsuit against the other for civil damages. The accident victim/s could have suffered severe broken bones, brain injuries, or even a fatality. In these cases, the victims will want to secure experienced legal advice to protect their rights.
