Stockton DUI Crash
I’m Ed Smith, a Stockton Wrongful Death Attorney. A drunk driver lost control of his car and crashed into a parked vehicle in a Stockton neighborhood. Sadly, two passengers inside his vehicle were tragically killed due to the collision.
What Happened?
A man from Stockton, 44-year-old Arturo Reyes, was behind the wheel of his Mercedes Benz with two other passengers inside. According to witnesses, Reyes was driving at a high rate of speed. Reyes lost control of his vehicle while driving southbound on West Lane and crashed into a parked Chevrolet truck. The impact of the collision caused the truck to crash into the rear of a parked GMC and then collided into a home. According to officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash caused only minor property damage to the home. Reyes was arrested by police on DUI-related offenses.
What Types of Injuries?
Reyes sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The two passengers in Reyes’s vehicle passed away at the scene due to the grave nature of their injuries. Authorities reported that the passenger sitting in the back of Reyes’s vehicle was not buckled up at the time of the collision.
Was There Anyone Else Involved?
The CHP indicated that there may have been other vehicles involved in the accident. The vehicles were identified as a dark red van, a silver car or a dark-colored Chevrolet sedan. The following vehicles may have been driving in the vicinity of Reyes’s vehicle at the time of the collision.
