Witness Great Hockey Skills and Players
It is an exciting time to catch a Heat game as they are currently in second place in the standings of the AHL’s Pacific Division. Some of the current players may very well be drafted to NHL teams in the coming seasons so it is an opportunity to see them before they hit the big time. For example, former Heat player Glenn Gawdin, 22, is currently playing for the Calgary Flames in the NHL. He will also be playing in the AHL’s All-Star Classic.
Theme Nights
Tonight’s game is against Ontario Reign and the theme for the evening is Flash Back Friday. Profiles of former players of both Stockton Heat and Stockton Thunder will be featured. If you have a throwback Heat or Thunder jersey you are encouraged to wear it as contests will be held and prizes awarded.
Thrilling Family Fun
Hockey is a fast-paced and intense game to watch. The players are amazing skaters, the grace and speed with which they maneuver the ice on blades of steel is thrilling to witness! The crowd has tons of energy. It is an exciting spectacle and good clean family fun. Who doesn’t love watching the Zamboni resurface the ice while listening to the old standard “I Wanna Drive a Zamboni”?
Affordable Night Out
Attending an NHL hockey game can be expensive, but tickets to see an AHL team like the Stockton Heat can usually be found for under $20. Grab a hot dog and a drink at one of the many concession stands in Stockton Arena and go home with money still in your wallet!
