Stockton Hit and Run Pedestrian Fatality
A Stockton hit and run pedestrian fatality occurred on the night of February 12 along Interstate 5, just north of Pershing Avenue. A person was reportedly walking along the interstate in the No. 3 lane when they were struck by an oncoming vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Investigators from CHP said the driver of the car did not contact law enforcement or stop following the incident. Sadly, the pedestrian involved in the accident succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Officials have identified the decedent as 42-year-old September Escobar of Stockton.
