Stockton Woman Killed in SR-12 Crash Near Wallace
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a Stockton woman was killed in a recent crash on SR-12 near the Wallace area. The incident took place on the morning of Thursday, December 9, 2021, along Highway 12 in the vicinity of Wards Avenue.
Details on the SR-12 Crash Near Wallace That Killed a Stockton Woman
Officials indicated that the fatal car accident took place shortly before 11:00 a.m. and involved a 2005 Dodge Neon and a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. A 52-year-old Farmington man was driving the 2007 Chevrolet westbound on State Route 12 while the Dodge was headed eastbound. For unknown reasons, the two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision.
The impact of the collision reportedly propelled both vehicles off the highway and both were said to have come to rest along opposite shoulders of the roadway. CHP traffic officers reported that the Chevrolet driver suffered injuries described as moderate in the crash. It was unclear whether the Chevrolet driver was hospitalized for their injuries. Sadly, the Dodge driver succumbed to their injuries. Authorities have recently identified the decedent as 25-year-old Makayla Matlock Moody of Stockton.
