Street Racing Suspected Near Elk Grove

Recent Street Race Near Elk Grove
Officers issued citations to several people and impounded a few of their cars after a suspected street race took place near Elk Grove.
The California Highway Patrol indicated that someone tipped them off Monday evening about a suspected illegal street race occurring near Dillard Road, just east of Highway 99.
Helicopter Spots Suspicious Activity
An air unit was dispatched and discovered two vehicles officers say had just completed a race.
Two additional vehicles were reportedly getting ready to start another race.
Officials showed up on the scene and discovered at least 12 people at the alleged street race.
Several people were cited on suspicion of street racing. Some of the suspects had their cars impounded.
Spectators of the alleged street race were also given citations for aiding or abetting a street race, according to CHP.
Some of the vehicles impounded included a Nissan 350z, a Honda S200, a Chevy Corvette and a Ford Mustang.
