Student Severely Injured in Redding Automobile Accident
What Happened?
Hi, I’m Ed Smith, a Redding Auto Accident Lawyer. A Joel Barlow High School 16-year-old male student was severely injured in a Redding car accident on Sunday, June 26. The 17-year-old driver is from Easton, Connecticut. The other commuter in the vehicle is a 16-year-old from Fairfield, California.

The car accident occurred on the Cross Highway located in Redding in between Routes 58 and 107.
Redding Police Statements
According to Redding Police, the 16-year-old boy was with two other young male adult passengers. The 17-year-old motorist lost control of the vehicle and drove into the woods. Redding Police also stated that it appeared that the 16-year-old was ejected from the vehicle for the probable cause of not wearing a seat belt. The cause of the crash remains unknown to Redding Police. The other two teenagers involved in the accident sustained minor injuries.
Superintendent of Schools Public Announcement
The Redding Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tom McMorran made a statement that high school students are encouraged to speak with an available counselor to talk about the incident.
