Suspect Truck in Fatal Hit-and-Run Sought Out by Fresno Police

A pickup truck being driven by an unknown individual struck a pedestrian and fled the scene. Sadly, the pedestrian passed away due to the severity of their injuries.

What Happened?
A red pickup truck was traveling southbound along the right lane of Blackstone Avenue in the vicinity of Griffith Way at approximately 8:55 pm. At the same time, a pedestrian was walking northbound in the southbound right lane of Blackstone Avenue. The pedestrian was attempting to cross the street in front of the Carl’s Jr. when struck by the oncoming pickup truck. The pickup truck immediately fled from the scene of the accident and continued southbound along Blackstone Avenue.
Was Anybody Injured?
Sadly, the pedestrian involved in the collision passed away from their injuries.
Hit-and-Run Accident Investigation
Officials from the Fresno Police Department (FPD) have recently released an image of the suspect vehicle believed to have been involved in the fatal hit-and-run accident. The vehicle has been described as a red 4-door or extended cab pickup truck with chrome side running boards. The pickup truck is presumed to have sustained front-end damage along the driver’s side.
