Chico Area Collision Hospitalizes Three
On Thursday, January 2, 2020, a Chico area collision sent three people to a local hospital. The accident took place in the small community of Durham, just south of Chico. California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the crash involved two separate vehicles and that none of the individuals suffered life-threatening trauma. Additionally, this accident is currently being investigated by CHP.
Crash Information
CHP reported that this collision happened at around 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Neal Road and Highway 99 near Butte County Gardening. A car had been traveling north on Highway 99 when a second vehicle made a left turn from 99 in order to enter Neal Road. As the vehicle turned, it entered the path of the northbound car. The two vehicles collided inside the intersection.
When the response staff reached the collision scene, they found three people had suffered injuries. Two people from one vehicle were hospitalized in order to be screened for severe injuries, while a third from the other vehicle was found with back trauma.
Another Recent Accident
This accident happened just hours before another collision that occurred in the same location. CHP stated that the second collision involved four vehicles. Fortunately, nobody suffered injuries during this incident.
Recovering from Accident Injuries
The injuries that people sustain during vehicle accidents can seriously affect their lives. In many cases, being injured can make it difficult to participate in activities you enjoy or may even leave you unable to do your job. Furthermore, accident injuries are also often expensive, and collision survivors frequently need to undergo multiple medical procedures as well as extensive physical therapy in order to fully recover their health.
These issues not only affect the physical and mental wellbeing of crash survivors but can also threaten them financially. However, the costs of medical bills and lost income can often both be covered through payments from personal injury claims. These claims seek to hold negligent parties responsible for the damages they’ve caused.
However, personal injury claims can be complicated, and liable parties often put up a legal fight in order to disclaim responsibility. For this reason, it’s very important to have a skillful, experienced personal injury attorney who can ensure that you receive the payments you deserve for your damages.
Finding A Quality Attorney

It’s very important to have a lawyer that you know will be able to handle your case effectively, but it’s also critical to reach out to an attorney as soon as you can. Fortunately, you can easily see if a lawyer is right for you following a few easy steps. To learn more, check out this video:
