What Caused the Tracy Truck Accident?
An investigation is underway by the CHP. When involved in an accident with a commercial commerical truck it is very important to contact and experienced injury lawyer who can properly investigate the trucking company.
Driving Around Large Commercial Trucks
Driving around a large commercial truck requires caution. Avoid overtaking a semi truck when there is stopped traffic ahead. A loaded semi truck requires the length of two football fields to come to a complete stop. It is never a good idea to tailgate behind a semi truck as this may increase your chance of being involved in an underride truck accident. When inclement conditions are present, remain on high alert when traveling near a semi truck in an adjacent lane as these trucks may lose control due to high winds and heavy rain. Scanning the roadway in front of you and maintaining a safe speed is vital when sharing the road with large commercial trucks.
Truck Accidents and Wrongful Death
Driving along a freeway in California usually means sharing the road with large commercial trucks. Truckers are required to exercise due care while traveling near passenger vehicles. Despite truck driver responsibility and regulations, accidents involving large trucks may result due to:
- Distracted Driving
- Drunk Driving
- Impaired Driving
- Improper Truck Maintenance
- Fatigued Driving
- Unbalanced Loads
When a victim has suffered serious injuries or even death in a truck accident, the trucking company can be held liable for incurred damages. It is important to consult with an experienced Tracy truck accident attorney to secure your rights and retrieve just compensation for your losses.
