Finding a Driver Who Hit and Ran
Our investigators have located many hit-and-run drivers over the years. Our experience and resources enable us to accomplish this. Investigations may be conducted in the following areas:
- We send our investigators to the scene of the fleeing driver accident as soon as possible. The paint marks and recovered metal pieces can match the vehicle’s make and model.
- Police accident reports are reviewed to ensure accuracy and to determine what evidence they recovered.
- It is checked to see if the accident was captured on surveillance cameras in the area. The tape can be recovered and used as proof if it was.
- Reconstruction of the accident shows how the vehicle was positioned in relation to the bicyclist and how the accident occurred due to a fleeing driver.
Motorists May Use Their Uninsured/Underinsured Auto Insurance Policy
As part of their auto insurance policy, drivers can add uninsured and underinsured drivers coverage. This add-on insurance is popular among drivers because many other motorists do not have coverage or carry a minimal policy. Injuries sustained in motor vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, or pedestrians are covered for injuries. You can also use a family member’s uninsured/underinsured policy if you don’t have one. In the future, the policy’s rates will remain the same.
