Turlock Resident Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash
I’m Ed Smith, a Turlock car accident lawyer. A single-vehicle accident happened in Turlock on May 25 that claimed the life of one man. The victim of the crash has been identified as a resident of Turlock named Steven Johnson.
My prayers and sympathy are with the family of the deceased in this sorrowful time.
What Happened?
The crash occurred at about 2:30 in the afternoon when the man, heading north along Paulson Road in a pickup truck, struck an electric pole near the downtown area and turkey facility for Foster Farms. A manager for Foster Farms reported that he heard the accident as it happened. Going outdoors with another person, they could see the vehicle and went over to help. Although life-saving measures were attempted on the victim, it was too late. The manager commented that people sometimes sped along that road. The accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol as to the cause of the crash.
Single-Car Accidents
In Stanislaus County, there were 25 single-vehicle accidents that resulted in fatalities in 2015, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This shows a marked decrease over the four previous years. Eleven of the fatalities cited excessive speed as a factor, whereas in the previous year, 27 single-vehicle fatalities were partially blamed on speed as a causative factor. Light trucks and vans were involved in 11 of the crashes. Other types of single-car accidents may be attributed to distracted driving or driving while impaired. However, this type of accident can have other causes such as a defective auto part, damage to the roadway or poorly marked construction area.
Injuries Suffered in a Car Crash
A car crash may result in serious injuries such as traumatic brain injuries, broken bones and spinal damage. Although an accident may be caused by error on the driver’s part, when it is a result of negligence by another, it can be a traumatic experience. Financial difficulties compounded by medical expenses, a recuperative period and time lost from work can be daunting. An experienced personal injury attorney can help by obtaining a fair settlement for those injuries. In this way, the financial end of your injury can be covered both for current and future expenses.

Reviews by clients and an attorney’s rating can help an injured car accident victim make a decision on whether or not to place that important phone call. You can review mine at Google and Yelp. Additional reviews and ratings are located at Avvo.
In addition to reviews, previous Settlements and Verdicts are important to review because they can tell you about an attorney’s past history.
