Turlock Single Vehicle Collision
I’m Ed Smith, a Turlock personal injury lawyer. A Sacramento man was driving along the highway in Turlock during the afternoon hour of Saturday, June 24, 2017. Unfortunately, the man was involved in a single vehicle collision, which caused him to suffer fatal injuries.
What Happened?
A 42-year-old man from Sacramento was driving his 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound along Highway 99 in the vicinity of the West Main Avenue exit at approximately 4:00 pm. For unknown reasons, the man’s vehicle veered off the roadway towards the right side, collided through a chain link fence and crashed into two redwood trees. The impact of the collision caused the man to be ejected from the vehicle.
Was He Okay?
Medics were dispatched to the scene of the collision to assist the injured man. When medical personnel arrived, they pronounced the man deceased at the scene.

What Caused the Collision?

For unknown reasons, the man allegedly made an unsafe turning movement to the right. This resulted in the man losing control of his vehicle, allowing it to drift off the roadway and down an embankment. The vehicle overturned several times, collided with a fence and caught fire in a nearby field. The man was rescued by a passing motorist that witnessed the crash.
