What to Expect From a Personal Injury Case for a Livestock Accident

A motor vehicle collision involving large animals, such as horses and livestock, may present various unique issues and require clear evidence to establish negligence. The right California personal injury lawyer will have the skills, resources, and knowledge to conduct an in-depth investigation into a livestock car accident. The attorney may visit the crash site with their team of investigators to gather information on the crash and observe any evidence that may be present at the scene, including poorly maintained or down fencing that should have properly contained the livestock.

It is not uncommon for a livestock owner to make immediate repairs in an attempt to avoid liability for the incident. That is why it is recommended to retain legal counsel for a livestock accident case immediately so an attorney can observe the state of the incident as soon as possible and start building a strong case for full compensation. A lawyer will also work to gather other evidence associated with the incident, including police reports that describe what occurred and why the livestock was on the road, statements from eyewitnesses, video surveillance footage, etc.

Throughout an investigation of a livestock collision, an injury lawyer will actively communicate with all involved parties, including insurers, to ensure that all relevant details are considered.
