Two Hospitalized After Crash in Stanislaus County
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), two parties were hospitalized after a crash in Stanislaus County on the night of Saturday, May 15, 2021. The incident occurred shortly after 11:50 p.m. on Geer Road near Santa Fe Avenue between the Turlock and Hughson areas.
Report on Stanislaus County Crash and Hospitalized Parties
CHP traffic officials reported that a 31-year-old Turlock man was driving a Honda sedan southbound on Geer Road. At the same time, a 49-year-old Turlock man was driving a GMC SUV northbound on Geer Road. The Honda driver reportedly entered the oncoming traffic lane and collided head-on with the GMC.
The Honda driver was found to be unresponsive, officials said. He was transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment of a fractured ankle, broken pelvis, and lacerations to the abdominal area. He was later placed under arrest on felony DUI charges but released to hospital custody, CHP reported.
The GMC driver was also treated at Doctors Medical Center for facial lacerations and a femur fracture. Further details on the incident have not yet been released due to ongoing investigation.
