Two people were injured after a fiery crash in the Fresno area on the afternoon of May 15, 2020. The car accident occurred on south Leonard Avenue and East Manning Avenue shortly before 12:40 p.m. A traffic accident involving two vehicles happened at the intersection. One of the cars reportedly caught fire after the collision, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). A person attempted to put out the vehicle fire by using a fire extinguisher to save the two people that were allegedly trapped inside. First responders arrived on site to remove the two parties trapped inside the burning vehicle and transported them via ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The severity of their injuries was not disclosed. However, they were said to be conscious and breathing. Additional details about the motor vehicle collision, including the sequence of events leading up to it, were not immediately available.
