Two Injured in Oroville Auto Accident
Two people were left with significant injuries after an Oroville auto accident that took place on Monday, March 9, 2020. Information from California Highway Patrol (CHP) indicated that the accident happened during the day and did not involve any life-threatening injuries. Additionally, the accident involved two vehicles, including a sedan and a large van. The incident is being investigated by CHP.
Crash Information
According to police reports, the accident occurred on Highway 70 at the intersection of Ophir Road within the city of Oroville. Specific details about how the two vehicles collided have not yet been provided by officials. However, it was reported that at least one of the involved cars sustained serious damage, leaving an occupant trapped inside.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the crash location after CHP received a phone call reporting the incident. As they arrived, responders discovered two people had suffered minor and moderate injuries, respectively. The trapped individual was reportedly extricated from their wrecked vehicle by a team of firefighters.
Investigation
One northbound lane of Highway 20 was closed to traffic following the accident. The roadway remained closed while responders tended to the injured parties, and police conducted preliminary collision scene investigations. So far, no likely factors have been mentioned in CHP reports.
Accident Injuries
Suffering an injury during a vehicle accident can have a dramatic effect on your life. For many people, being injured means going through a difficult recovery process that is both mentally stressful and physically painful. Furthermore, recovering can be extremely expensive. Proper medical care for a car accident injury can involve more than one major medical procedure as well as long-term medication use and/or physical therapy sessions. In some cases, crash survivors need to hire in-home caregivers to help them with daily tasks.
To make matters even worse, a car accident injury can also affect your ability to do your job. For many, this means suffering a serious and sudden loss of income. In severe cases, these injuries can even affect your ability to earn income in the future.
Getting Help
The issues that crash survivors face can seem overwhelming, but it’s often possible to get help. By calling an Oroville personal injury lawyer and filing an injury claim, injured parties are frequently able to recover payments for the full amount of damages they’ve suffered, including medical bills as well as things like lost income, property damage, personal suffering, and more.
However, these claims can be complicated and liable parties usually try to mitigate their responsibility for the accident. For these reasons, it’s important that you have an attorney who has experience handling cases that involve serious injuries and the resources to give your case the attention and care it deserves.
