Rollover Crashes and Their Dangers
There are many complexities and dangers associated with a two-vehicle rollover accident. In accidents involving two or more cars, catastrophic injuries are more likely to occur when a rollover is involved. Rollovers are caused by a variety of factors, including:
- Avoiding a collision with another vehicle by braking or swerving suddenly
- Losing control due to negligence, such as distracted and impaired driving or speeding
- Causing another vehicle to go into a spin due to a rear-end accident or side impact
- Overloading a vehicle, which causes it to tip over during a sharp turn
- Clipping another vehicle, causing it to crash into a guardrail or the center divider
Injury Lawyers Can Determine the Cause of a Rollover Crash
An at-fault driver who causes a two-vehicle rollover accident may be held accountable for their actions in these situations. If you have been involved in a car accident, you should contact a lawyer experienced in handling these cases so your legal options can be assessed and your rights can be protected. Furthermore, lawyers will work hard to see that financial settlements and awards provide sufficient compensation for all damages.
Roof Collapse Dangers Can Significantly Increase Injuries
During a rollover accident, roof crush is an additional danger. It is a legal requirement for auto manufacturers to make the roof and supports of a vehicle strong enough to withstand a rollover. Some of them, unfortunately, do not do so. In the event of a rollover crash, the vehicle should be retained to examine the roof for damage. If it occurred, it may be possible to sue the manufacturer for auto product liability.
