Fatal Ukiah Motorcycle Accident
One person passed away after a Ukiah motorcycle accident that took place on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Officers of California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that this accident involved only one vehicle and happened just outside of Ukiah. Mendocino County officials are reportedly currently withholding the decedent’s identity. However, police did state that he was a 26-year-old man from Redwood Valley. Additionally, the accident remains under investigation.
Collision Information
CHP reports state that the accident occurred in the early morning at around 3:25 a.m. on Masonite Industrial Road. The motorcyclist was riding westbound on a 2001 Yamaha off-road bike when he apparently lost control of his vehicle. The motorcycle veered off the road and traveled down a very steep embankment before crashing into a tree. After the collision, the motorcycle flipped over, ejecting the rider.
Officials assisting with accident response reported that they found the motorcyclist critically injured at the crash location. Tragically, the man was pronounced deceased on-site.
Investigation
As police investigate this terrible accident, no suspected crash factors have been reported. Accidents like this one can be very difficult for police to investigate because they are unable to get information from any of the involved drivers. This can lead investigators to overlook critical evidence like faulty vehicle parts or issues with the roadway.
To ensure that the collision is thoroughly investigated with the rights of your family as a priority, it’s important to get help from a trustworthy Ukiah wrongful death lawyer. A lawyer who has experience handling wrongful death cases will be able to privately investigate the crash and determine whether or not any negligence was involved.
Another Recent Area Crash Fatality
This accident happened shortly after another fatal Mendocino collision that took place on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. The collision took place near Redwood Valley and involved a Mercedes sedan that lost traction and collided with an oncoming Jeep on Highway 20. The driver of the Mercedes, a 32-year-old Ukiah man, was fatally injured while the Jeep driver was hospitalized with moderate trauma.
Finding the Right Attorney
Families who have suffered the sudden loss of a loved one are usually experiencing intense grief and can have a difficult time keeping up with their normal lives. Sadly, this can keep people from reaching out for help with wrongful death cases and holding liable parties responsible.
One of the main reasons that families delay contacting a lawyer is because they don’t know how to find an attorney they know they can trust with such an important case. While it is vital to have a kind, compassionate, and effective lawyer to help you with your case, it doesn’t have to be difficult to find one.
