Vallejo Fatal Motorcycle Accident
I’m Ed Smith, a Vallejo accident lawyer. On Wednesday, September 6, 2017, a motorcycle accident on Highway 37 near the city of Vallejo left a man with fatal injuries.
Accident info
According to details provided by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident occurred at about 1:46 a.m. on the eastbound side of Highway 37 just east of the Sonoma Boulevard Junction. CHP indicated that a westbound motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons and subsequently veered into the right shoulder of the highway. After veering into the highway shoulder, the motorcyclist struck a metal guardrail and was thrown off of his vehicle.
Officers noted that the man had been riding a Triumph Tiger motorcycle but did not provide the man’s identity pending his family’s notification.
Injuries
CHP Officer David Harvey indicated that, when emergency responders got to the injured man, they discovered that he had sustained fatal injuries and pronounced him dead at the scene. The exact type of injuries that the man suffered have not been reported.
We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the man who passed away in this tragedy.
Investigation
Authorities reported that driving under the influence of alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in this fatal collision. CHP officers are currently working to determine what caused the motorcyclist to leave the roadway. Possible factors include faulty motorcycle parts, dangerous roadway conditions, dangerous maneuvers performed by other drivers, fatigue, and more.
Call to Action
Individuals who believe they may have information relevant to this accident have been asked to contact CHP’s non-emergency phone line, 800-TELL-CHP or the CHP Solano Office’s line, 707-428-2100. Officers noted that any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wrongful Death
Losing a person that you love is never easy and often makes it difficult for people to focus on things other than mourning. However, calling a lawyer as soon as you can could be vital to your case.
Insurance adjusters and liable parties usually aren’t preoccupied with mourning and are focused on disclaiming responsibility and even covering up evidence. Having a lawyer on your side can help to prevent these things and allow you peace of mind.
