Viking Festival in Citrus Heights

You’ll want to mark your calendar for the Citrus Heights Viking Festival scheduled for November 16. This is an exciting event for the whole family, and admission is free of charge. The Citrus Heights Viking Festival is being sponsored by the Sons of Norway Sacramento – Roald Amundsen Lodge and is being held at the Masonic Center at 5944 San Juan Avenue between Greenback Lane and Madison Avenue. For additional information, you can call (916) 972-7337 or (916) 451-3853. The festival is scheduled to run between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., so you’ll want to bring your appetites for lunch.

Activities and Offerings

The Viking festival will be set up with demonstrations and craft items to purchase. There will also be Norwegian-inspired clothing and other merchandise. Interesting and tasty lunch and snack items will be available for purchase that includes bakery goods, open-face sandwiches, waffles, fish soup, and Viking-on-a-stick, which is a big meatball that is breaded, fried and delicious.

Being Careful Increases the Fun

While everyone is excited to take part in a festival, it is important to exercise caution getting there. Make sure you have directions before leaving home to avoid trying to search while driving. Roads are often congested as we approach the holidays, and it is best to be on the lookout for reckless drivers too. Parking at or near the festival can present with additional issues. Drivers often forget that parking lots demand the same level of care that is demanded of them on the road. When looking for a parking space, it is important to remember that other drivers are busily trying to do the same thing. On top of that, pedestrians are walking by as they move toward the entrance. Perhaps one of the most trying tasks is backing out of a space when the visit is over since pedestrians, especially young ones, may be directly behind your vehicle.

Eating at a Festival

Despite the care festival operators take to make sure everything is safe, sometimes there are problems. Be alert to other people at the festival who may be looking to cause mischief. Also, be cognizant of any food that might not be safe. All food should be maintained at the temperature range needed to prevent harmful bacteria from making you sick. In the event that this happens, the organizer of the party that prepared the food would be liable. Nine times out of 10, the festival is safe, however, being prudent ensures that the day will become a happy memory as the entire family enjoys themselves.

How an Attorney Can Help

At our firm, we know that festive times can end in an accident or injury. In order to help our clients, we maintain an investigative team that will be sent to the site to determine the cause of the accident. Whether it is a parking lot accident, a roadway collision, or an illness caused by food, our investigators will be there. They will examine an accident area, check that health department regulations were followed, or look over the parking lot layout and directions. Once we have unearthed negligence, our investigative team releases the information to our lawyers, who use it to build a strong case for our client.
