Motorist Injured in Walnut Grove Hit-and-Run on Twin Cities Road

A Walnut Grove hit-and-run incident on March 13 left one motorist injured and sparked a police and fire department response. The crash occurred around 6:20 p.m. on eastbound Twin Cities Road, just west of Franklin Boulevard, involving a Kia and an SUV. According to reports, the suspect vehicle recklessly weaved in and out of lanes before stopping abruptly in front of the reporting person’s vehicle.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the Sacramento Fire Department responded to the scene. Witnesses stated that the suspect exited his vehicle and aggressively demanded the reporting person step out of their car. When the individual refused, the suspect returned to their vehicle and fled the scene.

Both lanes of Twin Cities Road were temporarily blocked as the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office assisted the CHP in managing the situation and initiating an investigation. CHP traffic collision detectives are working to gather evidence and piece together details of the events leading to the hit-and-run. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
