Westbound U.S. 50 Solo Vehicle Crash Causes Head Lacerations

A solo vehicle crash transpired in Sacramento on June 16 when a driver lost control, which resulted in minor injuries. The collision occurred around 11:42 a.m. along westbound U.S. 50 near the connector for the Cap City Freeway. The driver of a pickup crashed into the wall on the right-hand side, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP)

Injuries in Solo Vehicle Crash Determined as Minor

Officers called paramedics with the Sacramento Fire Department to the accident scene when it was discovered one person had suffered head lacerations. Medics determined the lacerations were minor in nature. The CHP traffic will determine why the driver was involved in a solo vehicle accident.

Crash Reasons for Solo Vehicles

There are a wide range of reasons why single-vehicle accidents occur. Many of them are caused by driver error, like boredom from commuting every morning and evening. When a driver takes the same route day after day, they become accustomed to it and act automatically. A serious traffic accident can occur if anything out of the ordinary occurs. The following are some scenarios in which a solo vehicle can crash:

  • In an accident about to happen, the driver is texting, sending an email, or distracted in some other way when he or she looks up to see the accident coming up. As a result of overcorrecting, they become involved in a single-vehicle collision.
  • After running a red light, the motorist must brake when he/she notices other vehicles entering the intersection, resulting in a solo vehicle accident.
  • Drivers speed up to get to work in the early hours because traffic is fairly light and end up losing control of their vehicle.
  • The morning after a night of late sleep, a driver drifts off behind the wheel and ends up in a single-vehicle accident.
  • The government entity responsible for fixing the pothole failed to do so, causing a driver to lose control and crash. In the case of a government entity, the statute of limitations allows you to file suit within six months of the event. To meet the deadlines involved, it is recommended that you get help from an injury lawyer.
  • A blowout or a brake failure in a vehicle can result in a driver losing control, leading to a solo vehicle crash. It is possible to file a product liability claim against the manufacturer for auto defects if the vehicle has been retained, so it can be examined.

The Benefits of Hiring an Injury Attorney

Solo vehicle crashes can be caused by many factors. Injured parties can file personal injury claims with the assistance of an accident attorney who can determine why the collision occurred.
