Nutrition Class in Woodland

In honor of March being National Nutritional Month, we want to remind the Woodland community to come out and take part in the Eat the Rainbow Gardening and Nutrition Class.

This class will introduce vitamins and minerals that we find in a wide array of fruits and vegetables. Learn how these plants are grown locally and available to you and or your family for nutritious consumption. Discover how plants utilize food located in their soil to create healthy nutrients. Have you always wanted to know how to grow your own colorful mix of yummy fruits and vegetables? If you answered “yes” this class may be just what you’ve been waiting for. Come join us as we learn how to grow a rainbow of garden delights to support our healthy lifestyle.

What:

Eat thRainbow

When:

March 16, 2016 (Wednesday) 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Where:

Hanna and Herbert Bauer Memorial Community Gardens: 137 North Cottonwood Street, Woodland, California. This lovely memorial garden hosts groups and youth programs. It boasts 32-community plots and serves as a teaching grounds for nutrition education and garden-based educational development.

Who:

The Woodland nutrition class is being brought to you by the Yolo County Health and Human Service Agency.

Why: 

Because it is good to know how to eat the rainbow. Plus, this class offers fresh fruit and vegetable tasting.

How Much?
