Yolo County Fatal Plane Crash
A crop duster plane collision occurred in Yolo County. Sadly, one of the pilots involved in the crash passed away as a result of his injuries.
What Happened?
One pilot passed away when two crop dusting planes crashed on the morning of Saturday, July 23, 2016. The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office stated that the pilot of the other crop duster plane survived the incident without sustaining life-threatening injuries. According to authorities, the two crop dusters collided at approximately 7:45 am at County Road 13 and County Road 99 East between the intersection of Zamora and Knights Landing.
Yolo County Fatal Plane Crash Investigation Efforts
The Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Allen Kenitzer stated that the two crop dusters collided with one another in midair for reasons that are still under investigation. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are still conducting an investigation in regard to the collision.
