According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Claribel Road, west of Roselle Avenue, near the Crossroads at the Riverbank shopping center.

Loss of a Loved One to Wrongful Death
The loss of a close relative is challenging and devastating. The last thing surviving family members want to think about is dealing with the legal system to obtain justice on behalf of their loved one if their death was caused by someone else’s negligence.
While holding the at-fault party financially accountable through a wrongful death action may not undo the pain, it can alleviate the stress of unpaid medical costs, funeral expenses, lost wages, loss of future financial support, and other unexpected bills. An experienced Riverbank wrongful death lawyer can help you and your family by advising you of your rights and what your family may be entitled to for your loss.

This way, our legal team can act quickly to gather the evidence before it is lost or destroyed to build a strong case for fair compensation on your behalf.
Who Can File a Wrongful Death Claim in California?
When a fatal bicycle accident occurs, and someone else was responsible for the incident, surviving family members may have the right to bring a wrongful death case against the at-fault party. But in California, only specific relatives can obtain a settlement under the California Code of Civil Procedure Section 377.60. That individual must be related to the decedent as a spouse, domestic partner, or child. If the deceased was not survived by a spouse, domestic partner, or child, then a parent, stepchild, putative spouse, or putative spouse’s child can bring such a case.
