One Seriously Injured in Red Bluff Car Accident
One person suffered serious injuries during a car accident in Red Bluff that occurred on Friday, August 21, 2020. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the incident as it took place on the outskirts of the city. CHP indicated that the crash happened in the morning and only involved one car. An investigation into the accident is reportedly ongoing.
Crash Information
The accident occurred at 10:30 a.m. on Reeds Creek Road in a rural area on the western edge of Red Bluff. According to information from CHP, a Mt. Shasta Spring Water vehicle was traveling on Reeds Creek just east of Pine Creek Road. For unknown reasons, the truck traveled off the road and struck a tree.
The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire. Eventually, the fire spread to nearby vegetation. The fire burned an estimated .05 acres before it was contained by local firefighters. Additionally, the accident caused damage to a nearby fence that reportedly would need to be repaired due to livestock living in the area.
Response
After CHP was notified about this crash, they dispatched a response team to the site of the collision. As responders arrived, they found that the truck driver was trapped inside the wrecked vehicle. The man was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment. Responders indicated that he may have suffered a broken leg. Further updates about the survivor’s medical condition have not been reported.
Leg Injuries
Suffering a leg injury can have a huge impact on your life. Many people who suffer serious leg injuries, especially major fractures, are unable to walk for a considerable amount of time. In the worst cases, survivors may suffer permanently limited mobility. These issues can be difficult to recover from and often affect people’s ability to enjoy their lives or even do their jobs, possibly resulting in a major loss of income.
Burn Injuries
Accidents that involve fires are likely to leave people with burn injuries. These are some of the most painful injuries that crash survivors can sustain and the recovery process can be very difficult. In many cases, recovering from a burn injury requires multiple surgical procedures, as well as physical therapy, medications, and more.
Calling an Attorney
People who suffer car accident injuries frequently find themselves in a very difficult situation. However, it is possible to reach out for help. Crash survivors who file personal injury claims are frequently able to obtain full compensation for their damages, including lost income, medical expenses, personal suffering, and more.
However, liable parties often put up a legal fight in an attempt to disclaim responsibility and avoid paying injured people the compensation they deserve. To make sure you are able to obtain fair payment, the best thing to do is to reach out to an attorney as soon as you possibly can.
