Wrongful Death and Quick Action
Fatal vehicle accidents are never expected and the sudden loss of a loved one can leave you with a feeling of shock. Oftentimes, it is difficult to know what to do and can seem daunting to think about things like taking legal action. However, calling a lawyer as soon as you are able is a vital step if you plan to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
Because responsible parties typically don’t have the same intense emotions to deal with, they are quick to begin working to disclaim their responsibility for an accident in the eyes of courts and insurance adjusters. Contacting an experienced lawyer early on can prevent responsible parties from obscuring important evidence.
Recoverable Damages
Many individuals with wrongful death cases are unaware of the wide variety of damages that they are able to recover. When a negligent party is responsible for someone’s death, their loved ones are able to recover for physical, emotional, and financial damages.
These recoverable damages include things like loss of parental guidance, loss of financial support, loss of companionship, medical expenses incurred before death, funeral and burial services, and more.
