Suisun Entertainment
I’m Ed Smith, a Suisun car accident lawyer. Suisun is a lovely, small bay area town with old-time charm. Those who live in the area or plan on visiting will certainly want to see the waterfront promenade, lighthouse, marina, and many top-notch restaurants that Suisun has to offer. However, many may be surprised to find that, despite its small size, Suisun has a myriad of entertainment options. A few of the exciting venues and upcoming events the city has to offer are detailed below.
The Lawler House Gallery
The Lawler House Gallery, located on Suisun’s main street, is a unique gallery and artist studio space. The gallery is inside of a repurposed historic home in the middle of Suisun and features a wide variety of local art including photography, sculpture, pottery, painting, and much more. The gallery also features a semi-permanent installation of some sculptures made by the renowned sculptor Phillip Glashoff.
The Lawler House Gallery is open from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. every Friday to Sunday and often hosts special events during which their doors stay open throughout the evening and into the night.
Harbor Theatre
The Harbor Theatre is an award-winning Venue at which local acting groups host their shows. The theater also hosts various musical acts and performances by local talent all throughout the year. The Harbor theatre is also committed to enlivening the community of Suisun through creative works projects that aim to ensure access to the arts for all members of the community.
Sunday Waterfront Jazz
Every Sunday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. the city of Suisun hosts a live jazz event on the shores of the marina. Visitors are able to enjoy exciting music from local and traveling acts in the fresh air and enjoy a unique waterside community experience. The concert takes place on Harbor Plaza at the intersection of Main and Solano Streets. Those attending are encouraged to bring their family for a picnic.
Wine Tasting on the Square
Every Thursday from June to October at 7:30 p.m. the city of Suisun hosts a wine tasting event in its historic town square. Those attending are invited to sample fine wines from both regional and local wineries hailing from the Suisun Valley and all over California. The event also features live music, appetizers, and a large outdoor fireplace to warm up by. Entrance to the event cost 20 dollars and includes a 5 dollar gift card to the local eatery, The Cast Iron Grill and Bar.
