Solano County Home and Garden Show
Where: Solano Town Center
When: Saturday and Sunday, February 8-9 at 10:00 a.m.
The local AARP chapter and other sponsors are hosting the Solano County Home and Garden Show. The show will feature over one hundred local and nationwide artisans, vendors, and craft makers selling wares to improve your home. Art Collection Opening
Where: The Lawler House Gallery
When: Sunday, February 2, 2020, at 12:00 p.m.
The Lawler House Gallery will be opening its new collection “The Dream” with a reception event featuring beverages, snacks, and a chance to talk with the artists about their work. The show focuses on artistic representations of dreams, including paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, glasswork, and more.
Birds of Prey Hike
Where: Lynch Canyon
When: Sunday, February 9, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.
The Solano Land Trust will be taking a group of people on a birding tour through Lynch Canyon. The tour will focus on the birds of prey that populate the over 1,000 acres of undeveloped land. Over the winter, several species of raptor visit the area that can’t be seen during other times of the year. Docents leading the hike will help participants spot and identify local wildlife.
Chocolate and Valentine’s Cooking Class
Where: Il Fiorello Olive Oil Company
When: Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.
Those looking to do something new and romantic for the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday can look forward to Il Fiorello Olive Oil Company’s Chocolate and Valentine’s Cooking Class. Attendees will be taught how to make a variety of exquisite chocolate-based desserts, as well as savory Valentine’s Day inspired dishes.
Luther Vandross Tribute Show
Where: Fairfield’s Downtown Theatre
When: Friday, February 14, 2020
Couples interested in going out for the evening on Valentine’s Day should check out this great local show. Ray McCoy and his band will be performing some of the late Luther Vandross’ most romantic hits including, “So Amazing,” “Superstar,” and “Here and Now.” Those wanting a more exclusive experience can purchase VIP tickets to attend a meet and greet with the musicians after the show.
