Three-Vehicle Collision in Vallejo Causes Injuries
On Monday, March 23, 2020, a three-vehicle collision in Vallejo left at least one person with significant injuries. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers indicated that the accident involved three vehicles and happened during the late afternoon. The number of people who suffered injuries has not been reported. Additionally, this crash is under CHP investigation.
Collision Information
The crash occurred at around 3:25 p.m. on Highway 37 near the junction located at State Route 29 on the northwestern side of the city. A blue Mitsubishi truck, a black sedan, and a white van all collided with each other inside of westbound lanes of 37. According to reports, the vehicles came to a rest blocking westbound lanes as well as the off-ramp onto 37 from Highway 29.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the accident site at 3:33 p.m. and reportedly arrived at the scene at 3:58 p.m. At 4:15, CHP reportedly called the Vallejo Police Department (VPD) for assistance with accident response. An ambulance was also called to the crash location.
Investigation
As authorities continue with their investigation of this accident, there have been no reports regarding suspected collision factors. With accidents involving more than one vehicle, there are often multiple causal factors. In many cases, these factors aren’t things that drivers are able to control, such as issues with their vehicles or defects in the road.
Collision Injuries
An accident injury is often something that affects your life in a serious way. Even relatively minor injuries can have a huge impact on your day-to-day life, and dealing with this can be both physically and mentally difficult. Not only are these injuries stressful, but they can be very expensive and are liable to put crash survivors in difficult financial situations.
Suffering an injury during an accident such as a broken leg can make it difficult or even impossible to do your job. In some cases, suffering a head injury can cause cognitive issues that leave people unable to keep up with their work. In both of these situations, it’s possible that you may find yourself without work either temporarily or permanently.
On top of not being able to work, the recovery process itself can be expensive. Many injuries require extensive medical care, and survivors frequently need to pay for things like surgeries, ambulance rides, hospital stays, physical therapy sessions, and more.
What Can I Do?
Many people worry over how they will be able to go on with their lives after suffering a serious injury, especially if they don’t know how they will afford their own recovery. However, crash survivors are frequently able to claim payments for what they’ve lost through personal injury claims. By filing a personal injury claim, it’s possible to hold at-fault parties fiscally responsible for the damages you have suffered due to your accident.
