Man Killed in Davis Auto Accident on Mace Boulevard
One person tragically lost his life during a Davis auto accident that occurred on Sunday, June 7, 2020. Officers of the Davis Police Department (DPD) reported that the crash occurred in the early morning and involved only a single passenger vehicle. In addition to the decedent, one other person suffered injuries during the accident. The decedent’s identity is being withheld by Yolo County authorities and the crash remains under police investigation.
Collision Information
DPD indicated that the crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. on Mace Boulevard on the northern side of the city. Details about the events leading up to the collision were unknown. When officers arrived at the location of the crash, they discovered a single vehicle had crashed into the concrete siding of the overpass located at the junction of Mace and Highway Interstate 80.
Responders found that both vehicle occupants were seriously hurt. Sadly, the driver was declared deceased on-site. The passenger was placed on an ambulance and rushed to a local hospital for immediate medical attention. Details about the passenger’s injuries have not been released.
