One Person Hospitalized After Fiery Auto Accident in Red Bluff

At least one person was reportedly seriously hurt after a fiery collision in Red Bluff on Friday, February 19, 2021. This accident was reported through California Highway Patrol (CHP), and officers indicated that it was a solo-vehicle crash. The number of people inside of the vehicle during the incident was not reported, and updates and the cause of the collision is currently under investigation.

Crash Information

CHP traffic data shows that the accident happened at around 8:59 p.m. on the Antelope Boulevard Off-ramp off of Highway Interstate 5. Police indicated that a single-vehicle driving on the off-ramp left the highway for unknown reasons. Subsequently, the car overturned and rolled around 25 feet down a nearby embankment. At some point during the incident, the car caught fire.

The incident was called in to CHP dispatch, and both police and firefighters were sent to the scene. At the location, firefighters were able to put out the blaze before it threatened nearby structures. Officials discovered at least a single person inside of the vehicle with serious injuries and called for an ambulance to take them to a nearby hospital.

Investigation

The off-ramp was shut down while emergency officials conducted accident response and remained closed during preliminary accident site investigations. At this the time of reporting, police had not provided information regarding suspected causes. Often, solo-vehicle collisions involve factors that drivers do not have any power to control, and, in these cases, third parties like governments and/or auto product companies may share financial liability for accident damages.

With rollover accidents especially, the vehicle manufacture is often at-fault because of weak vehicle roofs. Because of this, it’s critical that you keep your wrecked car so that an attorney can use it as evidence while working on your case.

Burn Injuries

When vehicles catch fire, there’s a major risk of burn injuries, and these kinds of injuries tend to be very serious. Fire is extremely destructive to bodily tissue and, for this reason, burn injuries can have a dramatic impact on your life. Frequently, burn survivors face a long and complicated road to regaining their health that may involve reconstructive surgery, long-term physical therapy, and more. Furthermore, burn injuries can also take a heavy toll on your mental health.

Sadly, paying for the medical care necessary for burn injury treatment can be hard, and is even harder for people that have lost income because of their injuries. Often, collision survivors in this situation feel worried about the future and unsure of what to do.

Getting Help

While the above issues can often cause people to feel overwhelmed, accident survivors are often able to get help. By filing personal injury claims against negligent parties and/or insurance companies, it’s possible to obtain full compensation for your medical bills as well as for things like lost wages, damaged property, and loss of quality of life.

To learn about what compensation could be available to you, the most helpful thing you can do is reach out to a Red Bluff personal injury attorney and get personal advice about your specific case.
