Investigation of Redding Motorcycle Crash
The southbound side of the road was closed to traffic as officials conducted accident response and police performed initial crash scene investigations. So far, no reports regarding suspected collision factors have been released by officials. Collisions like this one are commonly caused by things drivers aren’t able to control, including defective motorcycle or car parts, dangerously designed roads, pavement defects, and more.
Motorcyclist Injuries
Motorcyclists are typically very safe drivers. However, they are very vulnerable and can easily suffer serious injuries when they are involved in accidents. Some common motorcyclist injuries include:
- Bone fractures
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Road rash
- Internal trauma
- Amputation injuries
All of these injuries can range in severity and are liable to dramatically change a crash survivor’s life. With many injuries, survivors are left with limited mobility or cognition issues, both of which can make it hard to work, possibly resulting in a very serious and sudden loss of income. Furthermore, recovering from an injury can be a long, difficult, and expensive process. Many crash survivors need to pay for surgeries, ambulance rides, physical therapy sessions, medicine, and more.
Altogether, the stress of suffering a serious injury combined with a loss of income and medical expenses can cause collision survivors to feel overwhelmed and unsure of how they will be able to continue living their lives. However, it’s possible to get help by contacting a Redding personal injury lawyer.
How A Lawyer Can Help
By working with an attorney, injured parties can file personal injury claims against negligent parties involved in the accident as well as their insurance companies. By doing so, it’s possible to seek compensation for both personal and financial damages such as lost wages, hospital bills, and more. However, the sooner that you begin working with an attorney, the better they are able to defend your right to claiming fair compensation.
