Two-Vehicle Accident Near Modesto

I’m Ed Smith, a Modesto car accident lawyer. An accident involving two vehicles occurred near Modesto on the morning of Monday, July 31, 2017. The collision, unfortunately, caused two victims to be hospitalized for their injuries.

Accident Details

A silver Jeep Patriot was traveling eastbound along Scenic Drive in the vicinity of High Street at approximately 7:00 am. At the same time, a Chevrolet van was traveling southbound along High Street moments before coming to a stop at the stop sign. The Chevrolet allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic along Scenic Drive and veered through the westbound lanes before crashing into the Jeep. The impact of the collision propelled the Jeep, causing it to roll and coming to a rest on its driver side.

Firefighters Assist Trapped Victims

Firefighters from the Modesto Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of the car accident to assist the trapped victims inside the silver Jeep Patriot. When they arrived, they located the vehicle with significant damage. Crews used red-white-and-blue struts to stabilize the overturned SUV and removed the front windshield to remove the occupants from the vehicle.

Was Anybody Injured?

An ambulance was called to the scene to transport the two injured victims of the Jeep Patriot. According to officials, the two victims suffered injuries that were described as minor. They were both transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The following video demonstrates the scene of the car accident. As you may see in the video, firefighters hose down the street to clear the road of the spilled liquids from the Jeep Patriot. A tow truck also arrived to remove the damaged vehicle from the scene.
