There are many community events taking place in Stockton during the last month of the summer season. If you are indecisive about spending your last days of summer, come out to Stockton and enjoy entertaining events with your loved ones.
San Joaquin County Fairgrounds Flea Market
Do you love going on treasure hunts at local flea markets? The San Joaquin County Fairgrounds will hold a flea market sale at its carnival lot every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday throughout August. The market will feature 100 vendors on Wednesday and over 300 on Thursday. This event will offer endless used and new buys for any eager attendee who loves shopping.

Concerts in the Park
Stockton’s Victory Park will hold its 64th annual event, Concerts in the Park. This event is a series of 12 concerts that generally attract over 12,000 guests. The event occurs every summer on Wednesdays, starting in June and running through August. So why not come out to the last few concerts to celebrate your last month of summer? Pack your picnic, bring a lawn chair, and your loved ones to enjoy free tunes in the park.

Banana Festival Stockton CA International
The San Joaquin County Fairgrounds will be holding the Banana Fest International celebration. This 3-day event will feature a festival parade, live music, entertainment, food, mural painting and more. The theme of the event is “Funky Banana Festival”. There will be a competition for the best parade float with banana decorations.
Date: August 18th and 19th from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and August 20th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Admission: $8 in advance, $10 at the gate, and free for children ages 5 and under
Sky Tours at Delta College
Volunteers of the Stockton Astronomical Society will be hosting various sky tours at Delta College. Telescopes will be set up at the Athletics 1 parking lot once every month. Attendees may view deep sky objects with Delta College’s telescopes or the Stockton Astronomical Society offers. Guests are welcome to bring their own binoculars or telescopes for the gathering.
